ISLANDS HOPPING

ISLANDS INSIDE LORETO´S MARINE PARK

Loreto has several offshore islands that together make up the Loreto Bay National Park. The park covers 2,065 square kilometers in the Sea of Cortez. The marine park consists of five islands: Isla del Carmen, Isla Catalana, Isla Coronado, Isla Danzante and Isla Montserrat. The Park is home to over 800 species of marine life. These islands offer amazing fishing, kayaking and scuba diving explorations.

We organize three different tours two the islands: 1) Tour Isla Coronado, 2) Tour Isla Danzante and 3) Tour Isla del Carmen:

1) Tour Isla Coronado

Coronado Island is a volcanic island providing refuge for starfish, mother of pearl, urchins, dolphins and whales. Coronado Island offers excellent diving and snorkeling on the south side of the island, but the north side is the best place to dive. It is much larger than Isla Coronado and it is the largest of all the five islands. Carmen Island offers excellent diving and beautiful beaches.

Surrounded by crystalline waters, where you can enjoy a good sun bath and the luck to be in contact with the local fauna, groups of dolphins, a marine colony of sea lions, birds, reptiles and hundreds of colorful fish that live in beautiful rocky reefs, makes Carmen Island a great place to visit during your trip to Loreto.
